Experienced game designer with hands-on experience in all facets of game design.

From concept to pre-production, launch and beyond.

As a game designer, I've produced numerous GDDs and turned stakeholder ideas into actionable, practical designs. I have been involved with everything from new systems and mechanics through to rebalancing, and breathing new life into legacy systems.

I'm enthusiastic about making systems work smoothly and effectively and always relish the opportunity to get deep into game research and balancing to investigate, experiment and put ideas into practice.

My Designs: Rival Stars: Horse Racing

Rival Stars: Horse Racing is a realistic horse-riding live service game, featuring multiple real-life equestrian sports like Steeplechase and Flat Racing, with an in-depth breeding system that allows inheritance of both performance stats and cosmetic traits

Extensive use of CSVs across multiple projects has enabled me to become highly proficient with the design, development, and management of balancing sheets with thousands of lines and entries.

I am also proficient in designing and implementing functions and Apps Script to make usable, useful, understandable, and efficient in-game worksheets.

My work has primarily been involved in designing and working with the Unity engine, and I have in-depth knowledge and understanding of this engine, and its mechanics and quirks.

I can design, scope, build and deploy in Unity to create working prototypes of concepts. I am also familiar with Unreal and Godot and have developed functional systems in these engines, and with a software engineering degree I have the skills and expertise to develop both C# and C++ code complete systems.

I am experienced across the entire games production cycle, having worked on pre-production, production, and live operations for multiple years.

I am comfortable taking charge of GDD creation, running team-wide brainstorming sessions, sprints, managing feedback sessions, and maintaining live-ops scheduling.

I am also familiar with full-stack development and have designed and built complete systems utilising Node.js, Mongo, JS and HTML5.
